    Characteristics

    310 resistance stainless steel coil austenitic stainless steel is mainly used in high temperature environment. Its high chromium and nickel content ensures good corrosion resistance and anti-oxidation ability. Compared with austenitic alloy, 310 resistance stainless steel coil has higher strength at room temperature. 310s stainless steel is austenitic Cr-Ni stainless steel. The chemical composition of austenitic stainless steel is based on chromium and nickel by adding elements such as molybdenum, tungsten, niobium and titanium. Because the 310s stainless steel structure is face-centered cubic structure, it has high strength and creep strength at high temperature.

    Fabrication Data

    Alloy 310 can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.

    Hot Forming

    Heat uniformly at 1742 – 2192°F (950 – 1200°C). After hot forming a final anneal at 1832 – 2101°F (1000 – 1150°C) followed by rapid quenching is recommended.

    Cold Forming

    Standard ferritic stainless steels have fair formability characteristics with useful mechanical properties. Their ductility allows them to be formed by bending and deep drawing. They do not undergo significant work hardening when cold formed.

    Welding

    Alloy 310 can be readily welded by most standard processes including TIG, PLASMA, MIG, SMAW, SAW and FCAW.
